How to deposit USDC to Hyperliquid
Hyperliquid trades in USDC. With a connected wallet you deposit USDC on Arbitrum, and the minimum is 5 USDC. Get the network or amount wrong and the funds can be lost, so read this before your first deposit.
Before you start
- A Hyperliquid account. Sign up with code HYQUID first so the 4% fee discount applies from your first trade.
- USDC on the Arbitrum network. If your crypto is on an exchange, withdraw USDC and choose Arbitrum One as the network.
- A little ETH on Arbitrum to pay gas for the deposit transaction (wallet accounts only).
Deposit with a wallet (MetaMask, Rabby, etc.)
- Get USDC on Arbitrum into your wallet. Withdraw from an exchange to your own wallet address, selecting the Arbitrum One network.
- Open app.hyperliquid.xyz and connect the same wallet. Bookmark the official site so you never land on a look-alike.
- Click Deposit, choose USDC and enter an amount of 5 USDC or more.
- Approve and confirm in your wallet. Gas is paid in ETH on Arbitrum.
- Wait for it to arrive. It usually shows in your Hyperliquid balance within a few minutes.
Deposit with an email account
If you signed up with email, the Deposit screen shows a deposit address. Per the official docs, email accounts accept USDC on Arbitrum, Base, Ethereum or Polygon sent to that address. Anything else sent there is redirected to your email wallet, deposits under 5 USDC are not credited, and deposits under 1 USDC are lost.
Mistakes that lose funds
| Mistake | What happens |
|---|---|
| Wallet deposit under 5 USDC | Lost |
| Sending USDT instead of USDC | Not credited as a deposit |
| Wrong network on a wallet deposit | Not credited; recovery is not guaranteed |
| Using a look-alike website | Funds can be stolen |
Always send a small test amount above the minimum first if you're unsure.
Withdrawing later
Withdrawals go back to Arbitrum and cost a flat 1 USDC. See our fee guide for all costs.
