How to buy HYPE

Updated 2026-11-05 · 6 min read · Unofficial, independent guide. Not affiliated with Hyperliquid.

There are three main ways to get HYPE, Hyperliquid's native token: buy it on Hyperliquid with USDC, buy it on a centralized exchange, or get price exposure through a HYPE ETF in a brokerage account.

Option 1: Buy HYPE on Hyperliquid

  1. Create an account through the HYQUID link (4% off trading fees) and deposit at least 5 USDC on Arbitrum. See the deposit guide.
  2. Open the spot market HYPE/USDC on the Trade page. Make sure you're on spot, not the HYPE perpetual.
  3. Move funds if needed. If your USDC is in your perps balance, use Transfer to move it to spot. Some accounts show one combined balance.
  4. Buy. A limit order pays the lower maker fee (0.040% at base tier for spot, vs 0.070% taker).

Option 2: Buy on a centralized exchange

HYPE is listed on many large exchanges, including Binance, Coinbase, OKX, Bybit, Bitget, KuCoin and Kraken, usually against USDT, USDC or USD. Availability depends on your country and account.

Before you withdraw HYPE: check the network. HYPE exists on HyperCore and HyperEVM, and some exchanges only support one of them. Sending to the wrong one can lose funds. Send a small test first.

Option 3: A HYPE ETF

TickerIssuerTypeFee
BHYPBitwise (NYSE)Spot HYPE, stakes holdings0.34%
THYP21Shares (Nasdaq)Spot HYPE, may stake part0.30%
TXXH21Shares (Nasdaq)2x leveraged daily1.89%

Launched in spring 2026. Fees as reported by BeInCrypto; check the issuer's site. U.S.-listed ETFs are bought through a broker that offers U.S. stocks.

Leveraged ETFs like TXXH reset daily and can lose value over time even if HYPE ends flat. They're built for short-term trading.
